Not familiar with how webinars work? Let me try and explain.

Another term for a webinar would be web conferencing or web-based seminar. A presentation on a given topic is presented over the Internet using web-based software which allows a conference or seminar event to be shared across many locations.
For a live event, the information is shared simultaneously with all attendees in real-time. You don’t need to download any software. Basically, you need a fast Internet connection, speakers and a microphone. A live webinar is more collaborative and can include polling, question & answer sessions to cater for interaction between the presenter and the audience.
